Executive Search for Regulated and Reputation-Sensitive Markets

Proksch & Co Offices

The Trust Mandate

Selective by design

For our clients a single leadership appointment can compound — or erode — enterprise value for a decade.
We exist to protect that value through the few decisions that matter most.
We hold a deliberately small portfolio of engagements.
This is what allows us to give each one the judgment, patience and discretion it requires

Partner -Led Throughout

Every mandate is led personally by a senior partner.

From the first board conversation to the appointment and beyond.

Nothing is delegated

Confidential by default

Most of the people we approach are not in the market, are performing well, and would not respond to an unsolicited process.

That access is built over years and spent carefully

The Sectors we Serve

Healthcare & Life Sciences

Clinical and regulatory data is the asset — and the exposure. We appoint leaders who treat data integrity as a governance responsibility, not a quality-team problem.

Financial Services & Fintech

In financial services, a leadership appointment is scrutinised twice — once by the board, and again by the regulator. We appoint executives whose track record stands up to both, and whose judgment holds when a decision carries personal accountability.

Technology

AI has made technology leadership claims cheap and hard to verify. We appoint executives who have shipped at scale and can prove it, not those who have simply been near it.

Regulatory & Compliance

Compliance leadership only works when it has standing. We appoint executives who can hold a position against commercial pressure, and who are credible enough that the board hears “no” as protection rather than obstruction.

Partner-led Excellence

Most failed appointments were mis-specified, not mis-hired.

So we start by diagnosing the role, not marketing it.

That diagnostic sometimes concludes that you should promote internally, appoint an interim, split the role, or wait. We say so.

Our independence is worth more to you than the fee on a search that should not happen.

Every mandate opens with an appointment diagnostic.

Structured interviews with the board, the committee and the second line, to establish what the role must actually achieve and where the stakeholders disagree.

Where a search follows, the partner who took the brief runs it: the research, the approaches, the assessment, the offer. We assess causation rather than career proximity — what a candidate personally changed, escalated or was overruled on, referenced at depth.

Shortlists are presented in four to six weeks against the scorecard.

The output is a written scorecard of time-bound outcomes — commercial and regulatory — signed off before a single approach is made.

We then hold the logic in place through the first 30, 90, 180 and 365 days, reviewed against the regulatory calendar as well as the business plan.

The appointment is only successful once the executive is delivering against the scorecard.

Meet Our Chief Executive

Paul F. Cashman

Chief Executive Officer

Paul has spent 25 years making board-level appointments, split roughly 60/40 between healthcare and financial services. He has held senior roles at Korn Ferry, Heidrick & Struggles and Odgers Berndtson, where he led global practices, and served as Chief Operating Officer of LifeSci Partners, running advisory across investor relations, communications and capital markets — an operator’s view of how leadership is judged by regulators, investors and boards at once.

He sits on the board of Connected Capital and holds the chair of a healthtech venture ahead of public launch, so he assesses candidates from the same side of the table his clients occupy. He has led mandates from London, New York, Geneva, Copenhagen, Dubai and across Asia, and takes on a deliberately small number of engagements each year.
